She doesn't make sounds, but she has started to kinda chuckle, and you can hear the sounds of her breathing like a haHA, that goes with a squinty smile. I can't wait to get it on video!

4/12/20 Happy Easter!
🥰Happy Easter! Overjoyed that we have a living hope in Jesus who has overcome this germy world! It's a different Easter this year because, well, obviously the quarantine, and also, because of the new perspective Annelise's life thus far has given us about just how powerful the name of Jesus is, and we've felt His love and stretched and grown our faith in His plan and presence in our lives today in such an incredible way in the year since last Easter. What we celebrate today is the reason we can have peace that goes beyond all understanding, in any circumstance.❤
We got Annelise dressed up for church online this morning! I have been clothed in 4th of July pajamas all day, and accidentally wore my sweater backwards all day.... we also hard boiled the eggs! Maybe we will dye them tomorrow?😆 Lastly.... there is a deficit of Starburst jellybeans in this house... how did I leave that off the Target order?
You win some, and some not so much.
Annelise was loving her first Easter church service and books read by her loving daddy😍
It was a good day. Love you family and friends!

Ten months old!!
Happy TEN months to Annelise Faith!
I haven't given an update on the medical side of things in awhile..
🏋️♀️We are providing support like Occupational therapy, but our goal is to not stress over milestones, so that means we can be free to celebrate big time when they do show up! Like this month was a big one for opening her hands more and interacting with hanging toys that are put in front of her by batting them around. She has recently started to grab onto toys more, which is the next goal for her little hands. We are also working on building her neck strength so she can lift up her own head.
❤We had a Zoom visit with her cardiologist, who is comfortable with waiting until her next visit in June to get a new echocardiogram to see how her heart is growing.
💩Her GI specialist and the hospital nutritionist added protein to her diet, and it has helped her gain some weight and grow! She is 11 lbs now... I forget how long she is, sorry! If I go look it up, 100% chance I'll get distracted and not come back to write the rest of this! 😆 That's how things tend to go around here for me! She was on a dairy and soy-free diet... but we recently reintroduced the frozen breastmilk, definitely not dairy and soy free... full of my comfort food, hospital cafeteria pizza, and she seems to be tolerating that well so far! So who knows, was she really not handling the cows milk protein? Or did she grow out of it? The gut is so tricky!
🦵She is going to be getting her legs cast for hopefully just 6 weeks to straighten out her clubbed feet. I'm not calling that an essential anything, so we will get to that when people are out and about again.
👩⚕️Her kidneys still have reflux from her bladder on one side. We guard against UTI's by having her on an antibiotic all the time. They switched antibiotics after she got that UTI around Christmas that landed us inpatient for a month, and the new one seems to be working well👍
👩⚕️We also got to do our visit to Annelise's pulmonologist over Zoom. We will go in next time. Her lungs are looking good!
🧠No seizures have been observed since before we flew back from Omaha, whoohoo!
💋We'll take care of the cleft lip when the hospital isn't off limits. I love her sweet smile though! I know I'll miss it! She has added a new expression this week too. Her right eye kinda winks and her mouth goes up in a crooked smile to the right when she's excited.
🦻We put off her hearing test/tubes in ears/etc procedure.... we're going to be really busy when it gets safer to be at the hospital for us!
I'm so thankful that God's plan for our family includes this day of remembering Jesus' sacrifice of His life for us on the cross. I can't say that I understand the ways of the Lord, but I can say that I can see how some of my favorite, most meaningful and unforgettable moments, have come even in the midst of great uncertainty and hard situations. I know and have seen how He is working in our lives even when we don't know it. We're so blessed that whenever we seek Him, we will find Him❤
We hope you have a great weekend!
Fun tip of the day...around 12:05 am is when I was able to find a delivery time for Amazon Fresh after they added new time slots!
