12/14 - Mystery fever

Today was a hard day, with some amazing thrown in... just like so many of our days of medically complex baby life!

Thinking about and processing the loss of our baby friend Ellie has weighed heavy on my heart.

God has been hooking it up with the timing this week.  Annelise got her fever the day before her already scheduled pediatrician visit.  Through tests of her blood and urine, the only problem that came back is that she is anemic. We added some more vitamins but apparently it takes awhile to get up to the normal range again, so we wait and will test her again in some weeks.
Also, because I totally messed up and didn't get to her cardiologist appointment last week... we were able to reschedule for today, so he got to see her high heart rate.
Great news from her echocardiogram... no evidence of any scar tissue obstructing the aortic arch that Dr. Hammel reconstructed during her open heart surgery.  We aren't scheduled to see cardiology again for 3 months!

Having an unknown virus, and a long lasting fever, without any experience in this area, with ever changing tummy issues, heading into the weekend, has me hanging close with my anxiety as if we were friends!
Not sure how it's going to pan out, but sure that God is bigger than my fears!

Praying that the fever goes away!  Annelise is comfortable again! Her tummy issues disappear!  Lifting up Ellie's parents and brothers!
Thank you so much!❤
